The New Weekly Release Schedule for Eric Leo 108 Drops

Let’s be honest for a second. The modern music industry is completely fractured. Artists are conditioned to chase cold, distant algorithms instead of building real, human relationships with the people who actually listen to their words.

I refuse to play that game anymore. An independent artist doesn’t just need passive listeners; an independent artist needs a true, breathing community. That is exactly why I am shifting my entire blueprint to nurture my core audience before a single track ever gets sent out to major digital streaming platforms (DSPs) like Spotify or Apple Music.

I want to build a real, interactive community with you. To do that, I am launching a brand-new weekly routine that puts your voice directly in the driver's seat of my release schedule.

The New Weekly Routine: Tuesdays Belong to You

From this point forward, every single Tuesday is a drop day. I am releasing a brand-new track every Tuesday exclusively on SoundCloud and Audiomack.

These weekly drops are our community test lab. You get to hear the music first, sit with it, and give me your raw, unfiltered feedback.

🎸 THE REVOLUTIONARY WEEKLY MUSIC BLUEPRINT 🎸
============================================================
Every Tuesday: Exclusive test drops on SoundCloud & Audiomack.
1st/3rd Friday: The highest-rated community tracks hit major DSPs.
Every Friday: Live stream at 3 PM EST on Skool & YouTube.
2nd Friday: Major music feature promotion & breakdowns.
4th Friday: Deep-dive book or independent album promo.
============================================================

You might be wondering why I chose these two specific platforms to launch this movement. I picked them because they serve two completely distinct, essential purposes for our growing community.

Audiomack is for the Fans and Consumers

Audiomack is built entirely for the listener. It offers incredibly clean streaming, a smooth user interface, and an uninterrupted experience for the everyday music consumer.

If you just want to put on some high-quality headphones, lock into the vibe, and enjoy a pristine audio stream, Audiomack is your home base. It is the perfect space for us to aggregate our community’s listening data without the clutter of corporate DSP gatekeepers.

SoundCloud is for the Creators and Artists

SoundCloud, on the other hand, is the ultimate digital playground for other artists, producers, and creators. It is a space rooted in creative collaboration, track-level commenting, and peer-to-peer networking.

If you are a fellow creator who wants to study the sound design, dissect the bars, or talk production, SoundCloud is where we connect. By running both platforms simultaneously, I can feed the everyday music consumer and collaborate with the independent creator community at the exact same time.

How the Winners Win: From Test Drops to Major DSPs

This isn't just about dropping music for the sake of it; there is a meticulous method to this madness. The tracks we drop on Tuesdays are active test runs.

I will be watching the comments, looking at the streaming engagement, and listening directly to your feedback on both platforms. The undisputed winners—the tracks that resonate deepest with our community—will officially graduate to major DSPs on the first and third Friday of every single month.

You decide what makes the cut. If a song touches you, share it and talk about it, because that is how it earns its slot on Spotify and Apple Music.

Once a track proves itself within our inner circle, the absolute best cuts will also hit Instagram and YouTube as short-form content and official videos. The final, definitive albums will land right where they belong: directly on my official website and my Bandcamp page.

Beyond Tuesdays: Friday Live Streams at 3 PM EST

The community building doesn't stop when Tuesday ends. Every single Friday at 3:00 PM EST, I am going live simultaneously on Skool and YouTube.

These Friday live streams are designed to be our weekly town hall. I will be doing live performances of the week's tracks, breaking down the songwriting process, and hanging out with everyone in the chat.

But we are going even deeper than just the music. I will also be using this live space for deep-dive book talks and promoting special creative features.

The Friday Rotation Schedule

To keep things organized, our Friday live streams will follow a strict monthly rotation:

  • Every Friday at 3 PM EST: Live performances, general community hangouts, and interactive Q&As on Skool and YouTube.

  • The 1st & 3rd Friday of the Month: Release days where the highest-rated, community-approved tracks hit major DSPs.

  • The 2nd Friday of the Month: Dedicated entirely to major creative features, collaboration spotlights, and promotional breakdowns.

  • The 4th Friday of the Month: Focused on independent book promotions or major album rollouts from my literary and musical catalog.

This structure ensures that we are constantly building real infrastructure. We are testing the art, sending the winners to corporate DSPs, and keeping the deep, intellectual community conversations alive every weekend.

Make sure you head over to my profiles and follow me right now so you don't miss a single drop. If you are a fellow creator looking to dissect the sound, lock in with me on SoundCloud. If you are a consumer ready for a clean streaming experience, join me on Audiomack. Welcome to the kingdom.

The Future of Edutainment: Why Lyceum Recordz is Hip-Hop's Intellectual Pulse

The Future of Conscious Rap: Why Lyceum Recordz is the Intellectual Pulse of Hip-Hop In an era of viral dances and 15-second loops, the soul of hip-hop is at a crossroads. While the mainstream airwaves are often filled with repetitive hooks, a void has been left for the "thinker"—the listener who craves more than just a beat. At Lyceum Recordz , we aren't just making music; we are solving a crisis of substance. The Return of Edutainment: A Once-in-a-Generation Approach The problem with the modern music industry is simple: it treats the audience like they can’t handle the truth. For years, there has been a lack of true edutainment —the seamless blend of education and entertainment. The last artist to truly master this approach, using the microphone as a chalkboard to elevate the masses, was KRS-One . Since then, the bridge between academic sociology and the streets has weakened. Lyceum Recordz is here to rebuild that bridge. As an artist with a deep background in sociolog...

Hip-Hop Metaphors & Lyrical Sampling: The Independent Artist’s Guide

The Independent Artist’s Blueprint: Mastering Overt and Subliminal Sampling When I talk about being in the "lab," I’m talking about the technical mastery required to recognize patterns that most people completely miss. In hip-hop, we use metaphors, tropes, and cliches like "whipping in the kitchen" or "connecting like Voltron" to demonstrate our talent and technical ability. But there is a much thinner line between "sampling" and "biting" than most listeners realize. Sampling is usually a sign of respect and admiration, like when Drake samples Dead Prez or G-Eazy honors Kanye West. It’s a way of standing on the shoulders of giants to see further. "Biting," on the other hand, is where the craft gets competitive and condescending. This is when you take another artist's cadence or flow but "flip" the sentiment to make it negative or a direct diss. I’ve noticed that when mainstream artists bite independent creators...

Archiving the Lyceum Recordz Catalog: From 2012 Foundations to 2026

This is another post I made back in 2012. This was my first attempt to try to garner support and find customers. Look at this fool. It's crazy how things have changed but still remain the same. After getting my tracks taken down in a system update from my distributor in December 2025, now in March 2026, I have returned to Bandcamp (and now also EVEN) to go direct to consumer. You can find the Athenian Education essay in my book Farming Humans, which you can find at FarmingHumans.com . Maybe I'll put the Pluralistic Ignorance essay in another one of my books someday. I have my first official release ready right now on Bandcamp, and it comes with a letter with an official seal that shows you are a day one supporter. Show your support and follow me on Bandcamp at EricLeo108.bandcamp.com . Here is what I wrote back in 2012 when I first started
